Description
The Synopsis narrates the history of the Patriarchs of Antiochia from the times of Apostle Peter to the beginning of the 18th century. It was composed in Bucharest and its recipient was the Wallachian Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, in June 1702. The sole surviving manuscript, an illuminated one, seems to have been prepared for publication; however, it was not edited until 1930-1931.
