Description
1) ff. 5-70r – A Greek translation of an Ottoman history from Suleiman I “the Lawgiver” († 1566) to Mehmet IV († 1697). It was finished by Matthaios of Chios in August 1704, by orders of the Wallachian Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu († 1716); Michael Vyzantios “edited” the text. 2) ff. 70v-77 – A short historical account of the war of Candia (1645-1669), written from an Ottoman point of view (“Narration on the island of Crete” – Διήγησις τοῦ νησίου τῆς Κρήτης).
